Simon Jordan expects Palace to win promotion to the Premiership this season.

After losing out against Sheffield United on Saturday, Trevor Francis has come under fire from fans questioning his choice of formation and substitutions.

Simon Jordan said at the weekend: "The expectation at this club is very high. The team has a realistic chance of getting into one of the play-off spots and getting promoted.

"To be blunt, with the size and quality of our squad and the investment I have made in players, I expect us to be promoted."

This news will put further pressure on Francis to produce the required results for the remainder of the season.
