One hopes that Rak-Sakyi doesn't suffer a similar fate.

It's always nice to see one of our own doing well. Let's hope he improves as the season goes on. The more time he gets, the better he gets, hopefully.

Yesterday was promising, undoubtedly, but he can't be considered to be close to being a regular starter until he does a hamstring.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I echo a lot of the sentiments.

He's pretty good, but not yet the finished article. But has shown that he can produce moments. At present we have a lot of solid players, but not many who can produce these moments.

This team is solid enough tactically to help carry him. But more importantly I think (until we get our stars back) we need him.

Is he one of our own, tho'. We got him from Chelsea academy when he was 17.

Perhaps yesterday's fine performance blinded me, but I'd love to see JRS playing where Mateta does.

He might sub (playing up front with Edouard) or simply swap positions on the field with Mateta in the run of play. I think JRS's footwork and passing could help us in the middle, and his hold-up play may be no worse than Mateta's despite the difference in height and weight. He also might be fouled more often than Mateta.

Did well but MOTM no. Putting unnecessary pressure on him. You can argue Johnstone or one of the centre backs but for me it was Hughes. Everywhere and significantly in JRS’s ear a few times, I assume encouraging the lad.

When I saw him play at Plymouth he looked a bag of nerves. Not so yesterday. He was able to show some of the creative threat we have heard about and looked the most likely to produce something different, rather than the side to side we got most of the game. The fact that Forest doubled up on him shows they thought that too.

With our injuries now leaving us without any truly creative playmaker I think he will now get much more game time from the bench, at least until Christmas.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

agree, not the finished article, but a small bright spark on Saturday. An encouraging performance, rather than something spectacular.

If not a starter give him 20 minutes at the end, especially in home games. Definitely offers us something different

Honestly he'd get smashed to pieces up front. Amrabat showed in the Carabao Cup game how physically inferior Rak Sakyi is - moved him off the ball every time he tried to go past him.

There are very few smaller forwards who successfully play up front alone in the Premier League. I get the impression that there's a general lack of appreciation of just how difficult that role is with two CBs to occupy and no Olise/Eze to find pockets of space for them.

Much for Rak-Sakyi to learn, but certainly a big improvement compared to his cup performances. If he starts the next game, then taking on Dan Burn with his physicality will be a big step up compared to what Forest offered.
