Hi all, this is my first post and I apologise if the same subject exists.
Who would be your preference and why?

Charlie who..... Does not excite me, at all (sorry)
If... Palace are going to blow another 15 odd million on one player, please god let it not be him.

15 million would have probably bought our promotion squad, with change.
Austin 'might' be good, but he is no 15million pound striker.

As for the 'player's' plus cash deal, I'd rather keep said players.
Gayle especially. I'd have him over Austin (should we just refer to him as 'powers') any day.

Obviously Remy would be the better option between the two, but also the more unlikely of the two. Personally I'm a bit confused as to some of the negativity directed at Austin on here. I have to admit, £15 million would definitely be too much, but he scored something like 20 goals last year. He's only 26 and he's English, therefore I think a cash plus player deal wouldn't be the worst thing. Id rather pay over £10 million for Austin than around £6/7 million on a foreign unproven striker.
