Well a lot happened over the last few days and I for one hope it turns out to be a good decision.
Would like to wish everybody a very happy Christmas and a fantastic new year.
Just like to say I feel a lot better now AP has gone and all of a sudden the New Year looks much brighter for our Palace. Lets hope my feelings are correct!!

Thirded. Big Sam is exactly what we need. He will tighten the defence and select the team on merit. As well as making some much needed squad additions. Let's be honest, with AP gone, things are looking up already.

Yes feeling much more positive about our prospects of staying up now.
The board / Steve Parish took some decisive action , and even if it fails at least we can say tried and didn't just sleepwalk into relegation.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

I've got exactly the same feeling as when Pulis took over. 100% confident we will be in the premiership next season.

No the football won't be as exciting as under Pardew, but at the moment, who cares?

We've had 6 wins in 2016 hopefully will be 7 on boxing day.

Sam knows we have the players to go forward and this will result in him earning a relatively simple bonus compared to Sunderland me thinks. Good luck to him from me.

^100% this. The Pardew In brigade can cry about this all they want, but just like Pulis keeping us up, it will happen again when May 2017 comes around.

I think it's a great appointment experience, point to prove after England gig, probably got him as cheap as possible (a year ago would have cost more I'm sure), will defo sign some power which we need, will play for a point away when needed, I'm ok with direct football I was brought up on Coppell, he'll sort the defence for sure, progress the training ground and medical/fitness side he's been great at that wherever he's been. I guarantee he'll get more from Benteke and Townsend than Pards did. Also think Dann and damo will go back to sitting deeper and defending our box rather than this high press s*** that doesn't work with our lack of pace and disabled array of left backs. Never massively liked the fella a bit like Pulis but a massive upgrade on Pards and tactical nouse. Only danger could be more dodgy skeletons but can they be worse than Pards injunction and pulis 2million quid robbery of the club? I doubt it. I can personally enjoy going away again after Burnley and Swansea I swore not to waste my money until Pards had gone. Eagles onwards and upwards. We got ala, ala, alardyche, ala, ala, alardyche.....

Agreed....a very shrewd appointment. Let's be honest, with the new Swansea manager about to be sacked...we really had to act quickly.
