How about Charlie Austin? We went after him and he went to Southampton, where he promptly turned into a crock. Could say something similar about Jack Wilshere when he went to Bournemouth, he was actually OK there for a bit but wasn't the transformational player they seemed to expect and they were borderline in the s*** for a while. I also seem to remember us being linked with that king of t***s Bendtner, but he was already well known for being both s*** and a w***er at the time.
