Is anyone else getting concerned about the lack of bringing new blood into our club that are familiar with this level of play by Parish.

Bearing in mind the lack of quality of some fringe players, I did see this as urgent, and thought with DF in place we would hit the ground running, But that is not to be. I just hope we dont bring in players that we hope will develop over time as our need is now not in a year or two

Or do you think it will be the same old thing Parish on last day telling us that he just could not get them over the line in time. I honestly see it as a real issue, I can remember many on here a couple of months ago saying if we can stay in touch until January transfer window Parish will get us out of trouble. Well Roy has given us that opportunity. Nearly 10 days in and no real rumour, We actually play 5 games during the window with 3 more to go, that in itself is a waste without signings

Happens every year. Other clubs have signings arranged before the window opens and just complete the paperwork once it starts. We seem to treat the start of the windows as the time to start looking.

Parish knows we need significant number of signing to keep us up ,noting the weakened squad on account of every increasing injuries.
Indeed, Hodgson quoted on Sky as needing at least 6/8 new signings,so hopefully we will see some action very soon.

Equally worrying is that Parish keeps giving extended contracts to older players (Delaney and Speroni for example) that are no longer good enough at this level so the back up squad is getting weaker.

How do you know what negotiations are currently taking place or not. Parish has employed people to indentify players available with experience, why do you always lay the blame at his door.
We lost out on Van Dyke for £6m a few years ago as chief scout Tim Coe didn't rate him, is that also Parishs fault.

We are 1 of 15 clubs not to have signed anybody yet.

I suppose the question is who employed a Chief Scout with virtually no experience, either as a player or a scout, who was still at university?

The proof of the situation we are currently in is a depleted squad and no one through the door, And history tells us Parish leaves everything to the last minute, He is always like that, look at Frank's appointment it took him 2 months to appoint him and 4 games to sack him, He is still a laughing stock in many eyes including mine. So please don't draw me into the mismanagement of this club by those or him at the top. Don't get me wrong I am palace through and through, been going to selhurst forever and only missed one home game in the last 6 years

I guess we won't know until the end of the transfer window. I am hoping that we are not wasting our time in competition with clubs that we have no chance of beating to a signing.

It maybe that the selling clubs are holding off hoping for a better offer. Anyway lets hope we don't sign the old favourite "Panicbuyee".

You all remember how this works, right? Three weeks of rumour, speculation, politics, guesswork, clickbait and bollocks tweets, then we find out what's really happening and it's quite different from most of the content above. The only way you know in advance who's coming is if they're coming from Liverpool.
