Can anyone think of any young talented strikers we could potentially sign from the lower divisions? There must be more future Jamie Vardy's out there...

Jack Marriott is the obvious one at Peterborough. 27 goals in 44 appearances is impressive and at the age of 23 there is room for improvement.

He's going to Leeds.

Honestly don't think we need any. We've got Benteke, Wickham and Sorloth all vying for what's sure to be one position. (Assuming Sako is going). And if we do play two up top, it's like to be Wilf alongside one of them.

That's a lot of strikers to keep happy.

No need to assume, he's gone.

This is professional football not Sunday league where all the players are a group of mates from the pub. We aren't interested in keeping players happy unless they bring something to the team.

Is Wickham fit?

We need some sort of sweepstake to see who is going to end up this time sitting in the Soho office on deadline night and then leave in the middle of the night with a face like thunder and no contract. Last time: Amadou. Time before that: Niasse. This time?

Ozan Tufan got a practice run in last year.

I seem to recall that we were going to sign AJ on deadline day two or three years back but QPR pulled out at the last minute as they couldn't find a replacement.

There was also Ronnow, a young keeper from Denmark that we made deadline day bids for in two successive windows that failed as his club couldn't get a replacement in within the couple of hours that we gave them.

The Brondby manager later went public about our unprofessional way of doing business

Liam Boyce at Burton Albion might be worth a punt .Top scorer in the SPL 2016 playing for Ross County and brought by Clough to score the goals to keep them in the championship last season .

Unfortunately picked up an injury and missed most of the season .Now finds himself in league one where if he stays will be that leagues top scorer next season .

Would be a decent back up ,at least he knows where the net is .

And we still need a striker
