story going round of 12 pt deduction by PL

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Yeah seeing the media reporting this I hope it's true but I have no faith in the football authorities.

If they did break the rules they should be relegated just don't see it happening.

I suppose the 2 big questions are -

Will a 12 point deduction leave them in such a mess that relegation becomes unavoidable -

Will any deduction (12 points or otherwise) be enough to satisfy the 3 clubs that are suing Everton for FFP irregularity & the money that it cost them because they were relegated instead of Everton

Cannot see the Authorities having the backbone to implement such a sanction.
In any event, probably, money will be paid behind the scenes to ensure this does not happen.

The Prem are doing it this season as they know there are 3 teams more than 12 points worse than Everton!

I'll believe when I see it. Didn't see any twelve point deduction for any of the other teams that were in flagrant breach. All Everton need are Man City's Lawyers - if they can afford them. How many charges? Oh yes.

Much as I would like to see Everton relegated, I think FFP is wrecking the integrity of our professional leagues.
Either we have a system of independently-owned clubs, or we go for a US/Aus style franchise system. If the former, then if a club wants to risk bankruptcy by spending more than it can generate in income, let them go ahead. It might pay-off or they might go bust. Either way, it's no business of anyone else than the club itself.
Docking points because accountants don't like what you've done has nothing to do with football.

The points they finished above relegation was I think 4 ,might have been 3 so thats the deduction they will get or the PL will be open to legal stuff from the relegated teams .

They may get 12 but that will be suspended ,just can't see them relegating Everton

But you never know

And we still need a striker

I think Steve Parish is suggesting a simplified change with a ceiling cap. I'm not sure how it exactly works but my suggestion is that clubs are only allowed to spend X each season on transfers and wages regardless of their turnover.

Palace would probably come nowhere near the limit whilst the top 6 would grumble because they are bumping up against it.

Maybe the PL now believe they would be better off without Everton. They don’t want Moshiri and the new prospective owners seem to be a nightmare. Perhaps this is just wishful thinking on my part.
PL in a pickle now, Everton have flagrantly broken the rules, PL tried to ignore it. Relegated teams want to sue, if PL admit the breaches, those teams will sue. If they don’t sanction, FFP is finished.
Let’s not forget Everton got away Scot free with the pitch invasion. Still think Palace should have walked off and refused to go back
