He's looked good when he's played, is the right age and it would be good to get him but unless there's a striker in the works is another midfield player a priority?

Surely their future not ours? Would he not be the pearl they threw away?

Methinks Curtis negotiating better terms? All the trappings of a story planted by his agent.

If the rumours are true it's a massive yes from me. Fits the profile of what we are looking for and would be a massive signing in my opinion. Get it done Dougie!!!

FEELING GLAD ALL OVER

Highly likely. They’ve lost a few midfielders but are also looking to bring in lavia and caicedo so who knows. Would admittedly be a coup if he turned up at selhurst

Calm down guys, this isn't going to happen. Maybe just payback for trying to unsettle DOucoure

Liverpool have lost Henderson and Fabhino and cannot be sure their replacements will fit in. They know what they have got in Jones

It is also not our prime area of need. We already have Ahamada, Schlupp, Hughes, Riedewald and possibly Franca as back up in the general midfield area

He is 22 (according to wiki) At first glance the only thing in our favour is he may be disillusioned with waiting in the wings at Liverpool & feels he has more opportunity to be in the starting formation with another PL club - Liverpool wont want to have another poor season so I would imagine are more likely to try & spend their way out of trouble.

On the down side Liverpool will be involved in almost every tournament going & often up until the later stages so there will be plenty of games for him to be considered in.

However, I have just seen that Liverpool have agreed a Caicedo fee....

Sky saying £110 million - it only seems like a handful of games ago that Chelsea were expecting to sign him for £60 million -

Talk about supply & demand / market forces -

You can dislike Brighton while acknowledging they are probably the shrewdest operators in the league.
Once Rice went for in excess of £100 million that was the benchmark Brighton used for Caceido, regardless of whether he's as good as Rice or not.
They took over £60 million from Chelsea for the average Cucerella.
The original buy low/sell high merchants.
They've bought well this window too.
