I got through loads of coffee machines before deciding on a Nesspresso and picked that one because it used ordinary milk and not pods that included sweetened milk.

Nespresso for me. Order pods on line they arrive sometimes next day and they take the old ones away to recycle. Also a damned fine cup of coffee.

I am happy with a filter machine although most shops have stopped selling them. If I want just one quick cup I use coffee bags. I am not fussy about my coffee in fact my favourite is that type served by American diners, just straight out of a pot.

I've had pod machines but I got fed up with having to descale them. You can't beat a coffee made with proper ground beans in a cafetiere, press or mokka pot. Or indeed a filter machine as per Badger.

I agree YT, but only because we have a fantastic coffee bean shop a short drive away. It like inhaling pure adrenaline when you walk in there.

I have around 20 cups of tea a day. I could do with Mrs Doyle.

We have a Siemens built-in, bean to cup machine at home which produces a reasonable cup of coffee, but our daughter has a Lavazza pod machine and her coffee is much better. Talking of coffee beans being roasted, does anyone remember the place, I think near East Croydon station, maybe a Kenco coffee shop where the smell of fresh ground coffee pervaded the street? Wonderful.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
