Palace getting flooded again

The media seem to link us with every single striker available at the moment ! Everyday there seems to be someone new. I don't believe we are genuinely in for a shout on any of them with competition from Everton and West Ham too. We need to spend money big money and finally match the other teams offers if not in wages in signing fees

Many other clubs are already signing up big names. As you say, we are linked with all and sundry,the difference being, we are currently signing no one,other than extending the contracts of a few of our existing players.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Bright at my work. As you can imagine, I took full advantage and grilled him on all things Palace. On the topic of players - he said we're trying to get players across the line right now. Which would appear to refute the suggestion we'll be waiting until the last minute bargains. They may not come off but it wont be for a lack of trying.

Am I right in thinking the window doesn't officially open until 1st July? If so, I don't think we've been 'slow off the mark' at all. There actually hasn't been a lot happening with transfers all over, and this goes double with the Euros on.

As has already been pointed out on another thread, players can be signed now, with contacts that START on 1 July. It remains to be seen exactly what we are up to.

But I stand by the point that if we haven't signed anyone BEFORE then is hardly an indicator that we have been slow. There hasn't been a lot happening elsewhere either tbh. I don't have expectations that we'll sign absolutely groundbreaking players but I'm still not worried.
