Finally one of them admitting what the rest of us have known for years......... and that's probably only just scratching the surface of the corruption that goes on.

Sky have picked up on the story. Potentially all kinds of repercussions. We have all seen instances where everyone BUT the referee has seen an incident. Then there's the gambling................................

I'm surprised he hasn't commented. He has previously ben very vocal about the integrity of referees in this country.

im not at all suprised...just suprised its only just cone to light. i expect a very cosy namby pamby investigation to happen followed by inconclusive proof as the outcome.

I really don't see why this hasn't been a much bigger story. Yes the specific Halsey is talking about is potentially not a huge issue - allows the referee association to ban players retrospectively when no ban should have taken place - but it highlights a corrupt culture which has the potential to extend much further than that. It all seems to have fizzled a little bit but it really shouldn't.
