I have to admit I can't hate Brighton with the passion I have too many good friends who support that team. And I know they suffer as we do. Tonight's deserved win was their greatest ever in the PL so well done B&HA. I still hope we thrash them later this month.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

I don't have any chums who have any allegiance towards Brighton. I do know a chap locally who supports Brighton but a couple of years ago we had a heated contretemps in a discussion between our teams and I am 'Persona non grata' as far as he is concerned. The feeling is mutual. We didn't play them until after I was 20 or so - in the 74/75 season. No Brighton at school, the first would have when I worked for VW in Purley, where there was one. So never been confronted with anything like I saw and feared when we played Millwall for example. They've got a good youngish coach and I've heard good things about the lad they've just signed from Ecuador. And I hope we thump them every time we play!

We always wind them up by asking which other team they support. Nine times out of ten you will get a response...Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham, Chelsea etc. Although when I asked the question of a big guy who was wearing a Brighton sweatshirt in the Foragers pub in Hove, he said nothing, just rolled his left sleeve up to reveal....a Watford tatoo ! That was an interesting conversation !

I must say they are starting to look impressive. However they seem to have some luck with their opponents losing vital players beforehand. Spurs lost Kane, Liverpool lost a few and we may have lost Wilf.

As an older fan i still dont get the Brighton rivally. It's always been Millwall for me and still is. Klopp was outcoached last night, there 3-5-2 completely stumped Liverpool. As much of a pillock that he is Dunk is a very good CB, better than anybody that we have in that position and that goes for Webster and White too. We will do well to get a point there soon especially if Wilf is missing.

I admit that I didn't witness the game. Note your comments but for some balance,we recently suffered our biggest home defeat in our history against Liverpool, who had very impressive away against Spurs and W.Ham.
