Just seen photos on the BBC News website and am appalled. It truly looks like a nightmare come true. One can only hope that as many residents as possibe got out safely.

Just said on the news most of the fatalities were poor sours jumping out of Windows or throwing children out in the hope of escaping the heat and smoke. Terrifying

One resident said that the communal area fire alarms didn't go off. A truly sad day.

They were having or had recently had refurbishment works carried out. New heating system. The exterior newly cladded. Lots of comments from eyewitnesses as to how quickly the fire spread
