Pardew mentioned we've signed Bentekes brother? Completely missed that. Know nothing about him except pardew said he's also a striker.

Apparently he wasn't released, the link above says we paid a norminal fee for him. Also the clip I've seen of him, he seems to be playing out wide but still managed to score a worldy. Maybe we should save judgement until we've seen him play?

The speculation when we signed Benteke junior was that it was some sort of sop to Christian. It was reported that we'd agreed to sign him and have him in our development squad even though our scouts didn't believe he was Premier League quality. I seem to recall we had to pay £85k for some reason after he and his club agreed to part by mutual consent.

I'd agree, if spending a few £100k or what ever on his brother helped us seal the deal with Big Ben or helps him settle in better, then so what. And if it transpires that the kid had actual quality then lucky bonus. Can only imagine he's been promoted to the first team squad due to his ability. Let's get behind him and see how he does.

Well, we are down to the Benteke brothers and Wickham for strikers, so I would imagine we would start with Benteke and Wickham on the bench? (Or both start with Wickham out wide? But then where do you fit Wilf in?) cant imagine Benteke junior would actually play today
