I agree with the above, so pro active in the transfer market, some fabulous players in. Personally would've liked to see Jonny Williams in the team, don't get that one! But that's some team that'll be chomping at the bit after the international break COYP

You can get in as many 'strikers' as you like but if they don't get the feeding pass we will be relying on the
discredited 'method' of high balls to the forwards.

We've had ample time to find what we need, so this discrepancy is a massive disappointment.

Yes, people will incorrectly label people that see the reality as moaners or never happy. We're all f***ing delighted with the signings, it's just that there are still holes in the squad. I think the weaknesses at full back can afford to be left for this window, but weakening the midfield with the sale of a legend and not getting in reinforcements is a bit stupid imo.

My only complaints are letting Williams, Boateng and Kaikai on loan. Otherwise, I think it's been a fantastic window.

I'm very happy with the efforts to get the players we need despite not getting the midfielder as well. This is a much stronger squad to last season so no complaints from me. Benteke's signing provides a huge focal point for the whole team and I think the team needs that. There'll be no confusion about what we need to do with the football eg: Zaha, Bolasie, Puncheon, Lee or Much being in two minds about whether Pards wants them to score a sublime goal from 30+ yards - get the strikers onto it.

The problem and it is a major one is the weakness in midfield.
Unfortunately Cabaye,Mcarthur and Ledley all seem to
be injury prone.

Selling Jedinak without adequate replacement in this
window was a mistake.

Who do we rely on now? Mutch ?

Your right, but I feel injuries derailed our season last season. I just feel if we added say young. He could cover a numerous positions. Are we 2 injuries away from a crisis. Like if zaha and Townsend are injured leaves us short, likewise if souare and Ward also leaves us short.

We are a bit vulnerable out wide and not many options for number 10 but the other positions we can cover.

Punch or Ledley at DM
Kelly at RB
Ledley at LB
Kelly or Delaney at CB

Remy can play wide in 4-3-3.

It's been a great window for us and it's always difficult to bring in lots of players and succeed with integrating them all but I think we will need at least 2 more in January as we'll again notice the shortcomings of the back ups listed above.

The window to some might have been the best ever to others not quite so. I feel perhaps it has just been an indifferent window.

Palace still struggled to get quality players & their agents engaged and over the line despite matching the big boys in terms of money. I am sure they have all worked very hard!

We have shifted players out & managed to bring in some worthy replacements however compared with some of our rivals we must now have one the smallest squad in the Premier league going forwards.

Results will surely now be key going forwards and injuries could also play a crucial part.

However are SP & AP now regretting not spending a few more hundreds of thousand pounds just to secure another transfer bid over the line? A midfielder?

I think I would be!

Our biggest problem last year was not scoring goals, we have brought in Benteke and Remy. Is a no brainer.

The other players we have brought in are certainly upgrades.

But we don't have so much time left!

Just posted the same elsewhere - big mistake letting him go.
Mutch ahead of Jedinak - not for me!

I think Chungy will be crucial this year (at least until January). He may be small but I think he will have to be cover for central midfield. Next to Ledley, he's the only one with the legs to press the ball in the middle if -- god forbid -- Cabaye and McArthur are injured.

Failure to replace Jedi must have been a disappointment to the club.

Wasn't the lack of goals last season widely attributed to lack of service? Unless Townsend is the answer to that problem, then we have the same midfield, minus Bolasie and Jedi, that we had before.
