Yes, I did a bit of building work in there, staff canteen upstairs, lots of places to disappear if you got lucky, but no disco when i was there.yes, good stores, grants was the poshest, then allders, then kennards, all good though. And remember c an a? Not a dept store but still a big player back then.

Yes, great for all that war stuff, if only to look at, and lots of trench coats, you could get lucky to find one with a bullet hole in!(I made that bit up)

I recall frequenting 'Scarlets' from time to time, which at the time was the haunt of a few of our players. There were quite a few ladies who were rather easy on the eyes, with gyrating hips on the dance floor.
