No idea what a Sporting Director is but welcome back. He made an error leaving us before, I'm sure he regrets it, we all make errors. Lets give him a another chance. Fantastic Manager for Palace, useless everywhere else. Perhaps he just fits Palace, it happens. Very astute in the transfer market before, lets hope he can help bring in a couple of unearthed gems on the cheap.

Amazed at how negative so many Palace fans are. They see an ulterior motive in every action and have a doctorate in reading between the lines. What is actually so wrong with the club? Why is Parish so despised? Why can you not be happy about anything? Edited by Dangermouse (21 Aug 2017 9.14pm)

A major criticism would be why DF and not an experienced DOF man on the continent with contacts in Europe. I see this. But maybe Frank has a few contacts and friends himself so is happy for a Brit to spot talent on these shores and act on any tips in Europe coming to Frank. Just a thought. I always respected DF's eye for a player in Britain.

So we are that skint that we can't afford new players without selling some and we appoint a Director of Football. So we need a DofF to confirm what we already know? Edited by Direwolf (21 Aug 2017 9.29pm)

I was angry with Dougie at the time like many but us supporters and some chairmen are the only loyal people in football it is just a job to everyone else. So welcome back Dougie let's hope you can make a difference again.
