You must have been watching a different Parliament to me. I didn't hear anyone discuss remaining, other than Johnson and his Tory colleagues, who were attempting to shift the debate away from the unlawful prorogation.

By far the majority of MPs, despite their personal preference, are committed to trying to find a way to allow the UK to leave the EU. What they aren't prepared to accept is an exit which they believe will cause harm that can be avoided.

I thought Johnson's performance, whilst predictable and predicted by me, was truly awful. Rude, disrespectful, arrogant and completely unapologetic. Trying to divide Parliament from the people through populist tactics copied from Trump is a shameful way for a British PM to behave.

Johnson won't be going to prison but his policy has been found unlawful and his lack of an affidavit criticised. It was the latter which was his biggest mistake.

Mistake? Might have proved a stroke of genius. Having the Supreme Court act as it has is not costing him a single vote. If anything, it is bolstering his support. This is what you Remainers fail to understand. People want this Brexit crap over and done. And anybody seen or percieved to be delaying it will draw down their ire.

When will you understand that? Are you even capable of comprehending how hacked off people are with anybody who wants to extend this all? Or do you think people are going to welcome months and months more of this? Are you expecting their gratitude? Their praise?

We can be out by the end of October. The legislation is in place, the preparations are being made. People are hearing the adverts, seeing the signs on motorways. What do you think is to be gained from delaying it happening?

All the public see is unelected judges, drawn from privileged backgrounds, deemed to have interfered in the Brexit process.
