Such amazing support.....

Injured for a jolly then you think? Or self inflicted perhaps?

yup and i'm also aware that CW will collapse if someone so much as shouts too loud in a stadium. Would still rather have tekkers up front the a 'fit' wickham.

What a load of total nonsense. check out his injury record before this one before you call him a sicknote or just carry on throwing round random (unfunny) insults, your comment isn't even witty. It's a terrible injury that it's starting to look like could end a young man's career - and if you believe that he'd rather be injured than playing you are more of a fool than I thought. How about supporting our own players???

If he is back in training, then this is brilliant news as a fully fit Wickham, given his considerable skill and ability, will be like a new signing for us and reinforcements to give our survival aspirations a tremendous boost albeit,in the final run in.
I remember a few seasons back how he scored some vital goals against Chelsea and Man City, virtually keeping Sunderland up singlehandedly.
Let's support our own !!

I value this site for the insight and commitment of its members. There are some contributors, though, whose crude and malicious views make me wonder why they bother. Someone on this thread (I won't mention names) appears to be a complete and utter troll. We'd all be the better for his/her removal..

I am no CW lover but I never like to see a player badly injured and so I hope he returns quickly now.
I also hope that he is fit to play his part this season but I fear after so long in the injury room that it might be too late for us this season.

After such a long lay off and so many different injuries I’m not convinced he will be anything like the player he once was. They will have taken a serious toll on him

Agree totally. It’s either trolling, or genuine views born of an IQ struggling to reach double figures.

Roy said that CW's eagerness to get back onto the pitch has had to be curtailed by the medical staff, so those questioning his commitment are clearly just making it up to suit their own negative agenda (for whatever purpose that serves).

He scored some cracking goals before his injury, but like Bentenke he is not a player who will chase defenders down and run all over the place, which was why some people questioned him. We have no idea what he'll be like when/if he returns, but I will support him so long as he has a Palace shirt on.

Personally very excited to potentially have Connor back in the squad, just as an option from the bench would be brilliant. Come on guys look at our squad. If he can get to any half decent level of fitness he will be a real asset. Before his injury (I know) he was looking in great shape.

Major boost, top quality striker , he can do the lot this lad. If he can stay fit, we will have him in his prime!
