Am sure that SP et al know that Indeed. We can't expect to beat Chelsea but we can improve. Sakho would probably not be playing if Cahill or Tomkins were fit but our absence of fire power and creativity in centre midfield must be addressed.

We need a MIDFIELDER urgently. Just look how Rodriguez has improved Everton and what Ruben Loftus Cheek could do for us. He is supposed to be available on loan I'm not really a fan of playing two in midfield. It worked against Southampton and Man U who hadn't prepared, pressed high and got sucker punched early, plus Schlupp is better defensively than Eze. But it's an out dated system. 2 wins from 12 now for Roy. Bizarre substitutions once again, which didn't prevent us getting a hammering. Its reminiscent of an era in English football where all managers tried to shoehorn players into positions that didn't suit them, rather than coming up with a system that suits the players. Brighton and Fulham next. Two games I'd expect us to win.

You can’t loan 2 players from the same club.....that’s the rules. Yes, forgot that. But RLK would be a better bet and more immediate use than Bats.

Am sure that SP et al know that The actual nett spend is 10mil when you take in to account the reported 10mil that we are supposed to have got for Sorloth. Zero shots on goal today so normal service is resumed. We can make excuses about injuries etc, but frankly we were very poor today. We desperately need a striker and creative attacking midfielder at the very least. Looks like we are heading for another long season trying to keep out the bottom three!

Worrying today was it looked like a performance we put in at the end of last season... And telling that the only team that got any bookings were the 4-0 winners.... Got to compete and that means making tackles and stopping play like they did to us!

I am beginning to doubt if we get relegated that this team would be competitive in the Championship having just seen snippets on Sky of today's matches.

That’s a complete over reaction - this a team we were lauding just 2 games ago having beaten Man U 3-1 away. So what are you saying Utd would struggle in the Championship. It’s 4 games in to the new season and we have 6 points already..!! Jeez get a grip..!! COYP

It's the same old s*** but with a new lick of paint - zero shots on target says it all.

No over reaction from me, but MacArthur was poor and inexperience of Mitchell exposed. Sakho made expensive errors as well. Chelsea players were quality. Two different levels I'm afraid and we were thrashed. Move on. Edited by kevlee (03 Oct 2020 4.11pm)
