We are stale. Old management (they've done their job but nothing radical will happen under their watch). Old playing staff (not their fault but again they are limited in what they can bring). Old stadium (as much as I love it we are way behind most clubs in the premier league and championship).
These aren't new problems, we've flat lined as a club. Roy will be in charge this season but we must have change in mind in all departments otherwise we will eventually go down. The excitement and buzz around the club has been replaced by a morbid foreboding.
It's not the end for us, far from it but there has to be more from the club in terms of planning for the immediate future.

So what are you saying Utd would struggle in the Championship.

It’s 4 games in to the new season and we have 6 points already..!!

Jeez get a grip..!!

Roy obviously went for a 0-0. That was as far as the ambition went. When the plan went wrong the team fell apart. Nobody minds losing when a fight has been made of it.

I think Lampard probably told his team at the interval that Palace provided little threat to their (suspect) defence so they charged forward.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Basically we couldn’t get any offensive play going because of Kanté and Jorginho (90 million combined by the way) and stupid defensive mistakes by us. I remember a very similar pattern to the game as last season except we only let 2 in.

Hopefully this will persuade the yanks to get their hands in their pockets.
Too defensive but by the same token none of the four attacking players put in anything like the level of performance required.
The obsession with Roy’s subs is just a white elephant the other alternatives of Benteke and Meyer are sh!t as well.

Don't kid yourselves about the owners spending more money. Plan A was always for the value of any EPL team to rise over time. Plan B, if relegated, is to take the tax write-off.

Therein lies the problem. No intention of moving the club forward. We’ve been linked with any number of players over the last weeks but after three good performances it’s all gone quiet.

No I can't get to matches these days except when we played Plymouth. However seeing as my first Palace game was in 1946 and followed them ever since and holding a season ticket for about thirty years I don't need any lectures from the Peckham so called Palace Supporter.

Our last game against Plymouth was about 10 years ago ...

I really don't care who YOU are nor am I interested in your history but what makes you think your view is more important than anyone else's?

If we are down to "comparing sizes" then I've held a season ticket for more than 40 seasons of the past 52 so I guess I may just have a few more active boy scout badges than you have? It doesn't make me a better person or a Superhero supporter.

In my view, anyone who has an active interest in the club (a season ticket) is more than entitled to criticise or have an opinion about the way the team is managed or plays. Of course, it doesn’t stop passive supporters having a view either.

Once we went behind today we looked clueless and the lack of goal mouth activity against a team that has looked vulnerable defensively was always going to cost us the game. After three decent performances we look to be back where we ended last season.

I am happy to accept criticism if I am incorrect or offensive (which I am certainly not) but you are not entitled to criticise my opinion or anyone else's. We've all seen better football than Palace played today and I can't understand why you appear to be defending it?

Indeed. We can't expect to beat Chelsea but we can improve. Sakho would probably not be playing if Cahill or Tomkins were fit but our absence of fire power and creativity in centre midfield must be addressed.

Totally agree but how many seasons have we been saying this?

I keep saying it, but I'll say it again...we need a creative central midfielder. MacArthur and McCarthy do a good job, but they haven't got an ounce of creativity between them. On the rare occasions we got the ball today we just kept passing it sideways and backwards nobody had any idea how to play a killer pass. We're still relying far too much on zaha to do some magic to win us games.

Not sure how long you have been supporting, but can you name the last creative central midfielder in the team. Cabaye was a defensive midfielder who could pass, not the same thing.

You didn't post this tirade after we beat Southampton and Utd, why was that not much has changed?
