Agreed on #1. Do you think we have an alternative to speaking out and potentially getting arrested? Teenagers threw themselves on grenades for this country so losing your social or economic status should not be a barrier for the future of our children.

No he failed his test so didn't get et to be a bus conductor, although I did like him as a person and for tidying up after Thatcher.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

That could exactly be a barrier for the future of our children. I am constantly reminded that poorer kids are bad because they are poor and they need lots of free money and stuff to get on in life

Opinions of course could change!

As a Party member, no doubt you will be voting for the next leader. I don't have any problem with the members of any organisation having the power to decide who should lead them in the country.

What I object to is that person automatically becoming the PM. That decision should, I firmly believe, be left solely to the MPs, as our elected representatives. The whole House should decide that. Of course that means the nomination of the majority party would normally win, but should the MPs of that party decide they want someone other than the elected leader (who could not even be an MP) to lead them in the house, or an alternative candidate who commanded cross-party support won, then all to the good.

We elect the MPs to represent everyone in their constituencies. Who is to be the PM should only ever be decided by them. That's moral, logical and democratic common sense.

The current system leaves a very bad taste.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

With respect I view these comments with incredulity and will not be lured into any debate on this matter.
