A couple of weeks ago I was thinking Mordaunt would be a refreshing change, but the more I learn about her views on gender issues the more I have changed my mind.

Tugendhat seems a genuine bloke with an air of authority who would stand up well to Starmer yet he doesn't appear to have a great deal of support and I'm not sure why. He is less slimy than Sunak and displays more originality than Truss.

Badenoch did well the other night and gives measured responses to questions rather than shooting from the hip. I actually quite like her style but she doesn't have the experience to lead the country. I hope she gets a decent job in the new cabinet though.

All in all, None of the runners fill me with confidence, but it looks like it will take a major shift to knock out Sunak.

So a plumber or milkman would have experience of a high pressure role. These people are bought up in jobs and environments that would normally have a responsibility that most of us would crack under the stress I’m sure. I would imagine even boris and starmer would sit in their space worrying about if their decisions were correct for the better good.
