Bercow says 'Oi May, NO' Good. It's ridiculous that anyone can keep bringing the same thing (practically) before the Commons until they get their way. No doubt she'll add a bit at the bottom stating 'the House agrees that puppies are wonderful and anyone who doesn't vote yea is a big poopie head'. This is true but his timing is a bit unfair. Certainly could have thought about making this statement a bit earlier in the process.

It was always a thankless task with factions of MPs far more certain of what they don't want than what they do. None of the big hitters wanted the job.

So the great Brexit betrayal continues. I loath John Bercow an odious man who should have been sacked not just for his personal behaviour towards other parliamentary staff (and expenses) but for his shutting down investigations into the behaviour of certain MPs. Labour should hang their head in shame, yes I get that it's great fun to have a pro Labour speaker who hates his own party, but he is the speaker the face of parliament. I think that previous Labour leaders would have quietly told him he is a disgrace and that he should resign or face being voted out long before now. When you think of some of his predecessors such as George Thomas or Betty Boothroyd he shames the office and Parliament. Now having said all that his latest stunt means nothing. If Mrs May doesn't have the votes she wasn't going to go for a 3rd vote anyway. If she believes she has the votes then there are parliamentary procedures that can use to force the speaker to hold a vote. Right now I think we are heading for a 2 year extension which will delight the Remainers and infuriate the rest of us. Come the next GE though and the public will have their revenge Parliament is rapidly becoming the enemy of the people.

Best thing May can donow is to sit back, cross her arms and say "ok, you don't want the deal, you don't want anything else, the EU won't give us anything else, so bugger the lot of you - no deal it is" Only 10 days to go!

If only Becky. I would love the PM to call a GC and dissolve Parliament, elections would take 4 weeks which means we would be out by then. Unfortunately that now requires a vote in Parliament so never going to happen. My second wish would be for a Gina Miller from the Brexit side to arise and get the courts to force Parliament to Brexit on 29 March that would be poetic justice. Again never going to happen just a little fantasy.

And then the Baizuo start pointing fingers at other middle class Baizuo but coating it in nice language they don't use for the working class......this happens for about a metaphorical two minutes before they go back to finger pointing at the middle and working class whites on the right. It's all BS of course.....I don't want the world they want or believe it's possible...I don't even think they do....Lots of them say one thing and move to another. Malcom X had a good point about white liberals all those years ago. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Mar 2019 7.36am) You can tell that’s written by a southern journalist and not a northern one, as you’d expect. How tolerant of different races and cultures are the working class in the north?

I would also like that to happen but it needs a majority in parliament of two thirds and that won't happen as turkeys won't want to vote themselves out of a job

They have already voted against no deal and it will simply be brought back again. Revoking article 50 is the only thing in our power now and if they do that it will spare us another 10 years of this s***e.
