I'm not sure we are doing a good sell on these blokes. We've got to up our game in the transfer market if we want to step up.

At the end of the day, if we are competing with other PL clubs for particular players we will invariably lose out.Stadium in need of renovation, only 24,000 home gates and perceived as a "Smaller" club which could well be in a relegation battle - we are just not "Sexy" enough ! What does go in our favour, particularly for overseas players, is that we are in London. Finally, some of the potential targets named on HOL or whom we are linked with made me shake my head as they are well out of our reach.

Liverpool apparently don't want Townsend, I think the appeal Of being back in London might appeal to him would be a very good signing.

We need to shake off this small club mentality if we want to push on.

Totally agree, we do need to push on and forget the "small club mentality". 4th year in the premier league and a cup final, I'm sure we can attract some decent names to Selhurst! Originally posted by Brentmiester_General

Paper talk. Said he is happy at toon We've got Kaikai so do we need another winger? Don't get me wrong he should be at the euros but think we are well equipped in that department

I'm sure Kaikai will have a future but big risk to say he is enough for us to progress up the league over an England international.

Because I think it's important players are given the opportunity. I was against the signing of Sako for that reason. How many players do you want in the same position realistically
