As for why I choose to live in America (Texas, specifically, for now): the standard of living, my job, the weather (seriously) and basically the style of life afforded to a person of good means.

Do you actually have any referenced evidence for those assertions? Something that wouldn't be laughed at in court, I mean. If not, what is the point in saying such untruths?
