As much as I love seeing WZ in our starting 11, I think it's time to split. Please no more transfer stories with our talisman - sell and build for the future!

It's just my perception, but I don't think the club have the same love for Wilf now.

I think there is now real recognition that a move is best for both parties.

Palace dropping his asking price to £30m? Less money in but less to pay on the manure sell on fee?

This is why I said that last year was the best time to sell, even if it meant accepting 45 mil... though the chairman wanted 80.... we could have invested 30 mil, be a year later, that player or two would have established himself and we move on with Zaha saying goodbye on a high. I was laughed at for this suggestion.

Now, it looks like the club will accept less than the 45 mil they stated was 'no where near, he's worth 80 mil to us' fee... and Zaha's last season a forgetful mess.

We still have to replace the RB position, line up a decent reserve keeper to then replace VG next year - WH is not good enough.

Our manager - he would have retired in any other profression.

The clock is ticking at palace and we are doing ourselves no favours.

Sems like speculation only but if there is any truth to what's been written I'd say that it's in the links to Manchester United - i.e. It would be £30m but we wouldn't be paying any sell on clause.

Yep, that’s the only possible scenario I can see where £30m is even close to being acceptable. There are some pretty average players out there like Ake going for massive money so Zaha should not be given away, regardless of what he might want.

I think at the moment it’s tricky putting value on Wilf, when we are getting quoted 20 million for an unproven winger from QPR, I mean QPR give me strength.

That along with Sarr at Watford quoted at 40 million, well he is better than those two put together...

Prediction: somebody will offer us 55 million and we'll take it.

I'll be sad to see him go, as I think he'll grow more savvy and even more skilled as the years go by. If Roy steps aside next summer, Wilf might even enjoy more freedom of movement and more creativity in scheme under a new manager.

Now that Ake has formally moved to a big Prem club it will be interesting to see which other of the big clubs will start bidding for players from the smaller Prem clubs and what kind of prices are quoted/agreed.

He did not seem worth 41 million as far as I am concerned. Honestly, Dann is a far better defender. I'm guessing that he's 'home grown' for the competition quotas and that put the price up. Wilf is home grown too, so that adds to his value for English clubs. Not a factor for foreign clubs, which makes me think Wilf would have to be sold to another Premier League side if we are to get the price. I can't see Bayern, Barcelona, Madrid or PSG needing him. Spurs usually make a joke offer, so let's see. Wasn't it 15mil, piss off Levy?!.

If the rumours are true that Chelsea are interested in Wilf why not do a straight swap for Batshuayi

You know we've already signed Nathan Ferguson right? Arguably th ebest Right back in the championship for large portions of the season

I think Ake is a great defender who will not look out of place at City, but this just shows how everyone’s views differ from player to player. I would prefer Wilf to go abroad, maybe Athletico Madrid? or as he is a French speaker, Monaco/Marseille/Lyon?
