In a word, yes. But the ref would have bottled it. Maybe he gave the pen because otherwise Snodgrass would have been off, and that was too big a decision for him.

Yes. So it would then have 0-0 and Palace playing 10 men rather than 1-0 down and playing 11

Attacking we always look a threat but we have lost it completely defensively!!! If we can sort the back out we will be fine but can we sort it out!!!! Zaha immense today. Wednesday could be fun!!!!!!!

Really pretty poor. Wilf superb, defence back to being like a sieve, still losing the ball too much in the midfield and a referee who should be downright ashamed of his performance. Pardew has fixed nothing. Please just go. ============ The Ferret ============

I think Pards has to go but the ref was abysmal. Our confidence is fragile anyway and when you get a t*** like that then it will effect the teams performance
