He won't win because of his stupid policies AND because he's a useless dickhead. The two are not mutually exclusive.

The other reason and one I think has so far been underplayed, is that he is actually a really nasty piece of work.

Agreed. The far left always shows its true colours pretty swiftly as soon as it gets a whiff of a pedestal, evil c*nts. Personified in my opinion by John McDonnell who is the devil incarnate.

Problem for me, is that Corbyn is a bit too right wing for me.

Seems to be well ahead in the leadership polls with the labour membership. If he wins, it'll be an interesting time for the Labour Party.

Doesn't really matter who leads the labour party, realistically the SNP are going to hold Scotland and I very much doubt that Labour can win enough seats from the conservative, UKIP and Lib Dems with Owen Smith anyhow.

If he wins, I can't see it being accepted by the PLP, Blairites and center-right Labour. The big issue going forward over the next year or so is going to be article 50.

Odd we could end up with an 'unelected prime minister', an opposition leader who doesn't have the support of his party MP's, trying to negotiate their way through an exit from the EU.

Doesn't bode well.

Probably true, but then that's never really been a blocker from office. Thatcher and Blair had the same attributes.

You're not wrong there, or in your previous posts.

You have to be able to fire someone it does not mean you are vindictive but then Thatcher and Blair were always PM by virtue of the public in a general election I don't think an unelected PM such as Brown or May should delay seeking a mandate from the people.

A democratic minus for UK?

You don't vote for the PM.

Why can people not grasp this.

Factually correct, but recent national campaigns have defintely had large factors of "vote for us, so you don't get XXX running the country".

Tory Dave's last win was arguably on the back of a "vote labour, get Nicola Sturgeon calling the shots in England" campaign.

May won't go to the country given the massive two fingers stuck up by the electorate to the status quo.

May would walk it if they called an election right now, but there is no point. They've got the best part of 4 years to go anyway and can sort out the constituency adjustments between then and now.

They won the last one partly because the SNP wiped out Labour's previous banker areas, not because Jimmy Krankie would be calling the shots. She isn't even an MP ffs.

Would be in her interests to do so, as it would result in a Tory landslide. She shouldn't do it though, we've two elections in the space of a year and it's time they started doing their job rather than talking to the electorate.

In comrade Corbyn's latest ramblings, going for a pint after work discriminates against female employees.

So never mind the fact that I was the gender minority in Revolution last night.

Never mind the fact that us single parent dads like to be home for our kids.

Long may he continue as labour leader
