As I posted earlier this reason is a poor excuse and he will turn up at Everton or Spurs.
I really don't lay the blame at SP's door on this one.
Favre has behaved appallingly in my opinion.
If Dougie would do it then we should give him the job sharpish.

Whether there is a brighter side to all of this is debatable right now,, we all know the situation regards player contracts, and the problems associated with that. So our situation can not be considered good.
But this manager problem thing is not just ours,. Spurs , have failed to land at least two high profile men, and still look. Everton, exist on rumour ,yet no takers. There are others also struggling to get there man. Our problem at this time , apart from not getting someone in seems to be the media getting a morsel and turning that into a full fry up, leaving us with the egg on our face.

Apparently the Cooler buyout clause is £3m and we don't go pay.
As I don't want Cooper anyway I don't care.
I would prefer Freedman to Cooper

Just like chatting up a girl you do all the hard work then a mate comes along and walks off with her.

It seems to be the Palace way agree a contract with a player then West Ham hove into sight and say yeah that'll do come to us.

We will get a manager at some point whether they are any good...

If he genuinely wants a longer break why enter into detailed negotiations. He has either "behaved appallingly" or his excuse is hardly creditable.

Certainly can't blame SP but time is pressing and the notion of Dougie or Shaun
is not unreasonable.

I've been saying this for a while and then my mind was put at ease when I thought we had Favre. There was a report a couple of days ago saying the club were looking at Favre and Silva as wildcards but had chosen Favre; this possibly means we'll now go back to Silva. He's a funny one as he seems to deliver results early doors and then things seem to turn sour. Way down my list of preferred candidates but it has been a nagging thought in my mind for a while.

As unpopular as it may be, if we don't get something sorted soon then I would start thinking about a return for Allardyce if he wanted the job. With a preseason and some investment he would at least keep us in the premier league. Getting an inexperienced manager in too late into preseason would be a big ask for them to find their feet.
