I think we should go back to Roy and ask him to come back for one more year, so we can get this mess sorted before appointing a new manager next year.

Why am I not surprised? This seems to be another media job of lift them up , and slam them down. Something the media seem to create for Palace, time and time again.
Let’s face it there was never anything official, any terms were guessed at. There is little doubt the parties have talked. But it’s doubtful there was ever an actual agreement.. the excuses given would suggest that Favre, would never have wanted the job. If not his behaviour is lamentable, and I seriously doubt he is that shallow.
What this does for the clubs credibility is worrying ,and you can’t help feeling that’s what the media enjoy.

We have clearly got some deep rooted problems at the club. Our board and management keeps so much secret it is hard to pinpoint it. But for years we have struggled with our transfer policies. Why does it always take so long to sign players. And always so late in the window. Look at how many players we have allegedly lost at the last minute. From the outside looking in, we have a total lack of interest from our majority owners. Our managing owner, SP, clearly struggles with recruitment. He appears a very insular person. We are right now in a dire position. No manager. Really queered our patch yet again trying to find one. Other than Roy, it has never been smooth. Pullis , BFS, FDB, now, Lampard,Nuno, Favre. I can’t believe all these people are the problem. There’s is something very wrong. All our older players out of contract. Lack of recruitment. Youngsters not being utilised despite spending fortunes on the academy. The future is not looking good this morning. What a mess. I hate to think what our odds must be for relegation. The main stand saga. Lack of funds. The on going covid restrictions. No real buyers to put us on a surer footing. Not good. Everything is uncertain. Zaha, Ezy injury. It just goes on and on. Even on a personal note, season tickets. Finally sorted mine after as usual the box office had completely messed up my credits etc. But even now there is no clear policy on restricted games etc. Remember the total muddle with the Ultras seating. Roy gone not looking so sensible now. What a bloody shambles. I am finding it hard to see any light today. Oh dear oh dear. God give us strength.

Well this is a massive disappointment but I can’t say I’m that surprised given the way this football club is run. Parish said that there was no lack of people who wanted the job. Well, where are they and who are they? I don’t know where we go from here quite frankly. The players contracts run out in 5 days time and none of them know if they are staying or going. What a mess!

If Steve Cooper doesn’t go to Fulham I wouldn’t be surprised if he is offered the job as he seems to be the only person who actually wants it, or so we are led to believe. But who knows, maybe that’s not true either.
