It would be a pleasant surprise if this wasn't the case, in fact I think there's more chance of a Tekkers hatrick against Brighton than us completing any more deals.

I’m sure Mattteo will endorse this - but the EFL offers poor value for money as a general rule. The only hope of getting value will come from a relegated team needing to offload I high earner. I’d be amazed if we splash £30 million on anyone from EFL. But picking up a decent free agent or two will be much more likely imo. Not replacing Wickham will be a mistake- as an injury to Bats (if he gets a start) may leave us exposed.

I also suspect we won't see incoming activity this week. Overall it's been another disappointing window. Can't really count Ferguson at the moment as it looks like he won't be in contention to play for quite awhile. We are two players up on that which lost 7 on the bounce on the end of last season. We have several players who seem to be injury prone. Pleased with what we have got in, just think there should have been a couple more. We really aren't that much better off than we were last season.

Our problem is we have several massive earners that aren't performing and their wages are blocking us progressing. We have to get Tekkers, Meyer, Sakho and Wickham off our wage bill. If this happened I'm sure we would have brought in some promising young talent.

I believe Trekkers alsotook a drop, still agree with you though

If this happens with the others we might be cash scrapped for a good few seasons yet.
