An MP...liked a pamphlet...written by a thinktank...about how we should train the the army in non violent conflict resolution... thats what caused this article? Agreeing with the premise of a pamphlet? I dont know about showing up the left but at some point we need to have a very frank conversation about journalism

I must confess that I and my lady friend are West End theatre goers. The WE is in trouble: The article blames it on theatre going woke I am not sure that is entirely correct all though it is certainly a factor. Right now it is very expensive to see a show I have paid £78 per seat to see To Kill A Mocking Bird and they aren't even decent seats, those are around £250. As for the Woke bit, we have only been 2/3 times a year recently because there is nothing I want to see, most shows are simply bands recycling their greatest hits besides I am not a great lover of musicals. And yes I don't want to be preached at by a diverse cast mutilating a classic story just so they can play identity politics. Cameron Mackintosh and Lloyd Weber need to drop their prices. Many of the most ardent theatre fans are pensioners they are not going to turn up on the day and hope to get a cheap ticket at Leicester Square, we like to plan these things in advance.
