I thought the ref was terrible today. Made a lot of mistakes, firstly the penalty which as the biggest mistake. I then disagreed with Puncheon's yellow card, didn't get that at all. Wilf was penalised for BEING fouled. I thought Benteke's shout for a penalty was possibly valid too (albeit a soft penalty if given). But all that said, I thought Hull were the better side and we didn't deserve to beat them. So I have mixed feelings. I think perhaps we were robbed by the ref of a result we shouldn't have had anyway (IMHO).

When I commented last year that one of our players was going down too easily ,was in effect cheating ,conning the ref and an embarrassment to the Palace the general response on here was that it was all part of the modern game and not something that other players don't do . What goes around comes around and though the cheat has now left our club I guess its part of the modern game after all . Erm .

If players knew they were facing a three match ban for faking it in the penalty area they would still do it - cos they are stupid - but at least the oppo fans would feel a little bit of justice.

Personally I'm not a fan of either

Cabay was booked for a high foot. Snodgrass was booked after half a dozen cynical fouls and subsequently committed a whole series of further bookable offences including the most blatant dive I have ever seen, and got away with all of it. Wilf was fouled and the ref booked him instead of the offender. McArthur was booked for a single foul. Puncheon similar. Dann was booked for questioning a decision of Kafkaesque preposterousness. And Benteke was first tripped and then wrestled to the ground in the box right in front of the ref and he gave nothing. The first of those incidents they actually score from. Worst ref performance I've seen in a very long time.

Start with one game, then jump to three and up for subsequent offenses. Della Alli would be looking at a 25 game ban by now.

F**k me, just seen MOTD. Absolutely f***ing robbed blind by Snodgrass first and the ref on both the fouls on Benteke. Nothing Pardew can do about shocking stuff like that.

Game changing decision. If the ref get the decision correct Snodgrass gets a second yellow for simulation. Hull down to 10 men for 3/4 game. Wilf pen a bit soft but there was a definite trip on Benteke in the 2nd half. Poor day in the office for that ref
