Did Aluko really put in writing that she objected to being called "a pain in the bum" I think the Ebola comment was ill judged... But is it racist? No-one comes out of this well.

There is a case for it being interpreted as don't bring that from that diseased or dirty or infested country, which are usually a different race and not developed white countries, but intended as a joke, which isn't a funny joke or funny subject.

It hasn't been dealt with well by anyone. In the case of her she sure should've brought it up earlier, but as she didn't, is it best she doesn't bring it up at all and let him continue putting his foot in his mouth? This whole case is as transparent as you can get and if you fail to see through it then it is more about a personal agend than reality. For me... her including being called a “pain in the bum” smacks of this being more than just a bad joke.
