Trump is more political opportunist than Republican or Democrat really. Bush realistically was not even President that long ago, and was the most egregious war mongerer going, or rather was used by those around him to act as one. Without a dominating figure like Trump at the top table it will be interesting to see what kind of consensus develops within the party over time. The same for democrats really. Winning the senate is of course politically advantageous, but it makes various factions of the party realise that there individual vote is extremely valuable. With the Georgia wins, it could be a case of careful what you wish for. Still, it's not as though gridlock is a good outcome either. Trump is like an eighties/early nineties Democrat, which shows just how far the needle moved. While initially obviously wanting a republican senate the outcome of the Democrats controlling both houses is actually more interesting.....I've always been a fan of giving the 'winning party' (lets not go there) its head to put its policies in....So as much as I regard the Democrats a disaster in many ways for how I see the world, it's a chance for them to prove themselves. Well, the Democrats are in permanently now anyway at least while the union holds....So I guess that last sentence is kind of immaterial.

Where are the pictures of the four dead and the violent riots in each of their cities/states? They weren't shot, one was but the other three had medical emergencies. Amazing to me that three people died in a group no larger than a football crowd. I guess it goes to show how het up they had become.

From the derisory reaction to the mob law on Capitol Hill by other world leaders, you would struggle to think the USA had any moral authority and democratic credibility anymore after this. They will not be preached to in the name of 'freedom or 'democracy', on the contrary they see weakness and instability. To them it must seem incredible that Trump is still there even now, they must be enjoying him dragging his country through the mire.
I do think Trump finally bit off more than he can chew. Much like when he thought he'd lose to Hillary we was trotting out 'it's rigged'. He simply cannot accept that he lost and so drags along and revs up a ragtag bunch who still fawn over him. A mantra to millions of your voters that basically equates to 'don't bother voting' wrecked the GOPs chances of gaining the senate. The very next day, the same politicians who, against better judgement, supported his fantasy of stopping Biden being elected, end up being rewarded by cowering on the floor of the senate thinking they're about to be shot to death. It goes beyond bluff and bluster at that point and he's essentially just obliterated a good portion of the support from those in power, that he had. The man has created so many enemies of all political stripes, that I do not see this ending well for Trump. He'll be mired in legal and criminal woes for the rest of his days and he knows it. Hence why he's in meltdown mode. It's quite something really that he even bothered to become President. He had a good life. The same desire to make it and be bigger and better than everyone else, has a downside if you're too narcissistic to realise that the machine can bite back. Edited by BlueJay (07 Jan 2021 4.57pm)

Trumps kids and sycophants remain silent. Biden will be certified this night, and the next time trump tweets, he will accept his defeat, though he will again claim its corrupt. As predicted, the weasel in chief did just that via Dan Scavino at about 4am. And now Facebook and Instagram have blocked him until at least Jan 20th. LMAO.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |
