Well I mean in large part that's very clearly what it was. In fact there were even plenty of full on self declared neo-nazi types too, the whole ragtag parade, so there was little pretense of it ever being peaceful. If its good to endlessly 'make hay' on here at any mention of BLM or black crime, then I think that it's fine to highlight racial realities about this situation too, led by the big 'birther'. Sure it was in response to Trump's fantasy of rejecting democratic realities, but it's his diehards, and base that hang off his every word that act on it.. and those we saw, either off their rocker, or armed and aiming to intimidate elected representatives are, by their presence, clearly those who Trump appeals to most.

I personally didn't see anyone armed. But I didn't spend all night watching it. Nor am I really on social media. I presume there are loads of pictures of hardcore weirdos armed to the teeth, just to make sure we can be under no illusion about this armed insurrection. Definitely a coup.
And yes, people deserved to get shot due to their own stupidity.

The overwhelming majority were white and I have I only seen photos of white (mainly men) inside the Capitol.

If it was a majority black crowd shots would have been fired well before.

Staying away from social media is always a good call. That's not the only way to receive news. Several were armed to the teeth so there is really no need to attempt to portray it as anything other than what it is. I tend to find when various neo-nazi groups turn up to something, and pipe bombs are left behind that those elected representatives inside the building have valid reason to be concerned.

Of course nobody 'deserves' to get shot for stupidity. To portray the security who had a fend off an armed mob and acted it the moment of doing so is clearly inaccurate. This woman put herself in an unfortunate and dangerous situation. Trump clearly does not give a damn about her. Her death, especially while draped in his flag is of course tragic.
