I’m still more disturbed by the brazenness to give such an interview Stirling more than the subject matter. Notice the deliberate conflation with the criminalisation of homosexuality too? And the repeated reference to rape? Nothing to do with what is actually being discussed it’s just a very familiar tactic which revolves around justifying the absurd and illogical by tying it to the coattails of something else. This for me is a hijacking of what may begin as something falling within the spectrum of leftist principles which is then jumped on by failures and degenerates as witnessed here. Notice the smirk and glint in the eye where it thinks it is so clever in manufacturing this bonkers paradigm and spinning this web.

Boozing with his buddies while we all isolated. The double standards displayed in this article are mind-blowing. Can't criticise gays by the looks of it as it would be stereotypical to label him promiscuous. Yet, imagine this was Martin (with a woman in the pub). Suddenly gay clubs are a safe space - how exactly? Like morals and law don't apply? A free for all? Ridiculous crap.

His electoral performance, in his own constituency, set a new low for a sitting Taoiseach. The Left reject him outright. its difficult to find an appropriate thread for him. Hypocrites ? Liars ? maybe. Angela Merkel liked him. As does Wall Street. Edited by PalazioVecchio (05 Dec 2022 11.18pm)

As usual it's the fruitcakes that create a problem that wasn't there to begin with.

To suggest these people go around, claiming outrage and offence where there is none, just to justify their own hatred at failing in life, for financial gain or to just otherwise gain attention or a platform they were unable to attain it elsewhere is surely preposterous!

Can anyone point to one real-life example of when they've been criticised, shamed or even challenged for calling it Christmas?

Sorry, but the irony of this is fantastic This 'problem' doesn't exist outside of right-wing tabloids every December and a few over-zealous HR trainees at a university. Can anyone point to one real-life example of when they've been criticised, shamed or even challenged for calling it Christmas? I understand why it would seem ironic to someone of your politics. However, perhaps what it really shows is the prism by which you see opposite ideas in stereotypical terms. You may dismiss something like this, which on the face of it only matters to traditionalists. However, the same type of progressives, who apparently are limited in scope, have enabled corporations, nay whole modern disciplines to completely change in nature in theory and practice. We are now living in an age where twenty percent of young people don't even know their gender and thousands of young children, the youngest being three years old in the US, are having physical sex changes to their bodies and yet you want to refer to over zealous HR trainees. Having lived through this change I can remember when exactly the same point you made was repeated at me. Forgive me if I don't agree with you.
