Many years visiting this site and first post. I have much appreciated his utterly selfless sharing of files and I have been in wonder of his skills and knowledge. RIP staffie.

Only met Staffie once, at the Playoff final in his "Staffie mp3" shirt, as friendly a man to meet as he was helpful to everyone on here. RIP

Well. Hundreds of posts here in honour of a great and selfless member of our forum. How do we feel about a small tribute for the Hull game? It need only be a small banner reading "We'll miss you, staffie" or similar. I'm abroad with work for the Hull game, but would be happy to send some cash if someone wants to take it on? Like some others on here, I haven't logged in for ages, but look in most days and have spent many enjoyable/agonising hours watching Palace because of Staffie and his tireless efforts. Just wanted to say a big thanks. RIP

Such sad news RIP staffie. Never met you but loved the fact that you posted the radio links and TV streams for every game. Searching for staffies email became a religious part of the pre match build up for me and I am sure hundreds of other Palace fans. Would be nice if a tribute could be paid pre match this Saturday a minutes silence/applause for one of our own!

Arthur Wait got a stand named in his honour. I propose HOL gets the staffie Chatroom , or the staffie MP3 thread or something else close to the influence of the great man.

Hopefully this post won't be considered as self-indulgent, but rather my experiences of staffie, to highlight the generosity of the man. I joined the HOL about 10 years ago, and being a technophobe, had no idea about how to download files. It transpired I lived 10 minutes walk away from staffie. He would regularly drop off CD's he had burned, whilst I learnt how to download files. Sloveniadave first started the 'thankyou' presents to staffie around 2010. Sloveniadave got the ball rolling for me. Over the next couple of years we (thanks to donations by other HOLers) got him a home shirt with 'staffie' on the back, a signed copy of a vinyl "Crime of the Century" by band-member Roger Hodgson (staffie's all-time favourite album). All of the above we virtually had to force on the man, as he wanted no gifts of appreciation. It was more than enough for HOLers just to post 'thanks' And like all of us, he could be a miserable bvgger from time to time. And yet he was loved unconditionally by a huge amount of people who didn't even know him. Sorry for rambling. RIP staffie
