Your definition of 'their own government' seems a little wonky.

Interior Ministry adviser Vadym Denysenko says 18,000 machine guns "have been handed out in Kyiv to all volunteers, all those who want to defend our capital with weapons in their arms".

It seems like plenty of ordinary Ukranians already believe that they have their own government and country. You essentially support the slaying of these ordinary civilians. Or do you think they should lay down their arms at the behest of those invading them?

Other than a QAnon level gullibility on the subject and bizarre subservience to Russian intentions, you don't seem to know what you believe. So I take it that you believe that Ukranian citiziens should lay down their arms in the face of an invading force? Or if you don't, then yes you indeed are taking a position that is not averse to their slaving because that is precisely what will happen. Make your mind up.

The reality is the reality. If a claim is made that an invading force is essentially the rightful government, I'm asking what of those tens of thousands of Ukranians who already have a government and country and are willing to defend it. The only options are to fight for it and likely be killed, or lay down their arms. I am wondering what Steeley thinks they should do, and whether he recognises the consequences to ordinary Ukranian people by taking the stance that he does.
