I think the best way would be ground share at Chelsea for a season whilst Selhurst Park is completely redeveloped.

But what is a "big future" for Palace. Surely you've got to admit that we are never going to win the premiere league, so what's the point of finishing tenth or eleventh every season. Where's the emotion that comes with the highs and lows of relegation and promotion. The only good thing I could foresee would be the chance that you might make the odd cup final, but that's very hit and miss.

Being a successful team in the premiere league produces a very strange breed of fan. The type of fan who expects success rather than appreciates it . I'm a great believer that you enjoy success much more when you haven't had it all the time. Yes let's enjoy this season in the top league and maybe one or two more, but let's not forget the times a couple of seasons ago when we were getting 12-15 thousand gates of true die hard Palace fans. Building a bigger stadium may well attract more fans, and bring more success, but they would be the kind of fans who would turn on us at the first signs of failure, and it would be the kind of success that would make us stale and complacent.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I'd be happy being secure in the Prem, taking the odd scalp off a big club, beating our rivals (if they make it this far) and giving the cups a good go.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

We've never even stayed in the premier league longer than a season so how can anyone say its boring id rather go down and chase promotion.

just staying up and doing one stand at a time would please me, maybe being linked with a few players during the world cup and even better getting a few, would like four different stands to, hate the bolton type stadiums, to clinical, prefer two/ three and four tiers and maybe one massive holt end!

There was some previous talk about the spinning Selhurst round 90 degrees and extending the Holmesdale to become a stand. Anyone know if this has been ruled out?

Well, with any luck we'll get relegated next season then, then we can have the club all to ourselves again. Edited by Proper_Gander (08 May 2014 9.23am)

How about this as a stadium design? What could be more appropriate for a club called Crystal Palace? Could also be used for concerts. This is in New Zealand and is the worlds only covered stadium with natural turf. The pitch is irrigated by a water system that channels water from the roof. The capacity is over 30,000 even without the corners being used. As well as being a football stadium it would be a major venue in its own right.
