Sorry am I missing something I didn't mentioned internment you did in your reply. But it would help filtering out the people though That is a fact.

So, you don't think all the noxious crap humanity has produced, especially in the last 50 years, is anything to worry about?
Not really no Can I have a brief on the previous few millennia then I may be able to ascertain whether it was happening then. Co2 has altered very minutely from first readings. That could and probably is natural. Nature has a way of healing itself.

Please tell me you don't really believe that? Mother Earth has been raped by billions of humans and poured poison into the land, sea and sky at gargantuan levels and you think there is no link. Behave yourself.

Nope I don't beleive it. Everything we have used came from mother earth. The fact we put it back in a different mixture is irrellivant. Like I said nature will heal itself. Where are all the buildings and places from way back when. Gone because nature took it back. Time and factors on the earth are Cyclical. We individually are but a second in a year in reference to our time on this planet and its age. One day it will be gone yes but not because of us. Just because it is living and will die. You my friend like me will be remembered by two generations before we die. Your kids and your kids kids After that we are but the old guy who sits in the corner wetting himself. No one will give a flying toss. Same as this earth which will be around long after we have evolved into some weird subspecies. Here endeth the lesson. Amen

Possibly by getting rid of humans.
A finite environment can only sustain a finite amount.

I am not sure what is more depressing, your naivete or Hrolf's fatalism.
The fact that we pump toxic waste is entirely relevant . Plastic doesn't just disappear, even if you can't see it, it just gets broken up into tiny particles which end up in the stomachs of fish and birds, and then probably us. Insects are dying in record numbers because of pesticides so plants don't get pollinated. Islands are flooding due to rising seas. Conflict will occur as resources diminish.
Though all this says that there are things that could be done if the governments would wake up.
A one and a two...

How long does plastic take to degrade.
Sorry you've been hoodwinked by media who push the money making agenda rather than the environmental one that represent the opinion of over 90% of scientists in the field.
Why does oil company stakeholder Murdoch want to do this I wonder?

What's on yhe left? inefficiency, stagnation, cronyism, identity politics.
The fact is that humanity will inevitably use up resources, poison the environment and exploit the weak because population grows and men seek to better themselves. To rescue ourselves we need a gamechanger. I hope those guys at Area 51 have been busy.

On your numbers the universe will die of heat death.
Walk through any desert in the world and you will find scrub full of plastic, at least that has been my experience.
