I am against having a day like this, regardless of colour, it will only perpetuate this awful event, the mother Mrs.Lawrence wants to 'draw a line' after 25 years but now there will be the opposite, forensically examined each April and the community ever further from healing. The public are not responsible for what happened at all and should not bear any guilt imposed by Mrs May. I will not be observing it personally or any other of Mrs May's micro managing of people's lives. She can get stuffed. Spot on mate. This is total bollox!

If anything SHE is the only person to benefit from this ... at her deceased son’s expense. She is not a Dame. She has an OBE for some strange reason and Labour made her a Baroness for an even stranger reason.

Do you also think, for example, Suzie Lamplugh's mother (got an OBE) therefore 'benefited' from her daughter's death?

Callous is not a strong enough word. It's obvious people don't like her but to say that she has benefited from the murder of her son is just sick. I haven't read all the posts in this thread but from your post it is clear to me that some people are just fvck3d in the head and don't think, let alone have any heart or compassion. It's a sickness.

Suzie Lamplugh's mother isn't a fifth columnist. Lawrence's son was murdered, yes and this will always deserve sympathy for his family. No more or less for every family that have to endure that. But I don't respect her OBE and I regard her being a baroness as a joke. I regard the stations she has received as the product of the elite handing out status tokens out of misplaced racial guilt.

At the moment we are spectators. Will we be given an opportunity to learn 22nd April will next be a match day (Saturday) in 2023 - will we receive literature when we attend the match? or will memories be allowed to fade, rather than helping us to live together?
