I just want to make the point that I very much remember when Israel proposed building its wall to protect its citizens from Palestinian suicide bombers and similar attacks. Boy oh boy....the sheer number of mostly far left and some left people and indeed others who shouted out that it wouldn't work. They criticised again and again. They were wrong....not just a little wrong.....massively wrong and Israel were totally correct. They protected their citizens and many Jews are walking around now who would have been dead. Yet how much recognition and self reflection did we hear from those western commentators?....bugger all. Because in truth a lot of them are fools and a section of them would privately like to see Palestinians hitting Israel.

That prat John Bercow really rankled me last year when he virtue signalled over Trump and over stepped his mark by saying he wasn't welcome in parliament......when this was the prat who took part in hosting the Chinese Premier! An earlier post saying Israel's existence is a Biblical tale rather than an historical fact is a very odd and untrue statement. For a thorough background I'd strongly recommend "Jerusalem: The Biography" by Simon Sebag Montefiore. It details the history of the city and shows all groups have suffered there: Muslims, Christians but most often the Jews.
