Looks like Italy are coming to their senses. Please do remember the rules as learnt in the EU referendum. All the old voters are ignorant, badly educated, and don't know s***. They shouldn't be allowed to vote as they will be dead soon. The young voters are smart, and deserve twice the votes. It's probably better if there's an upper age limit on voting, to stop the older generation from screwing things up. [Tweet Link]

It is an anti-establishment vote. What would be great is if we had the same here and the tories /labour everlasting saga was overturned. Having no government looks rather attractive ? We did:

I see Five Star changed their tune about not going in to coalition even faster than the SPD did in Germany! What would be great here is if we could get rid of the inward looking, nationalist parties. If you don't care about the whole of the UK, let alone despising it, then sod off.

For those if you interested in why Italy voted in this way, I would (strongly) suggest you watch this - a (rare) insightful documentary by the BBC, produced almost 1 year ago (the first time Renzi resigned) Of course, this isn't available through iPlayer now: Almost 1 year ago. i.e. a bit out of date. The campaigning in Italy was interesting as EU/Eurozone membership wasn't really a big deal. A lot of it was along the lines of race, and 5 Star and the League both backed down from promises made a while ago to hold referenda on such matters. There is an interesting episode of Talking Politics on it from a week ago. [Link]

Are you serious....the EU couldn't even deal with Greece leaving the Euro....you think it could deal with its third largest economy leaving! So many pro EU supporters know so little about the institution they defend so much.

So many pro EU supporters know so little about the institution they defend so much. And so many of those who oppose it know just as little - it's a massive problem on both sides. Interestingly, it's acceptable to make statements like yours above, yet if you accuse Brexiters of being uninformed, it's met with ridicule and offence - they all knew exactly what they were voting for.

Brexiteers, let's just say Wisbech's little "view is local jobs for local people, eh Tubbs".

Disgusting if it was a purely race driven attack, but you can tell that you don't live here, because I can't see it happening soon. However, I do see some of those of a certain race and religious background continually raping some from a different race and background over decades, on a much larger scale than your chosen example of what may or may not have been racism. Really strange how you're cherry picking which racism is bad a which isn't. Really odd. Edited by Rubin (17 Mar 2018 9.02am)
