It may not nick but I don't think any cover up will happen as you may be suggesting. This is far too political for that to happen. Heads may not roll but I think the truth will be the outcome. Whether it's what people want to hear is irrellivant really.

KPMG have now withdrawn. As I understand it their role would have been a logistical and would have had no bearing on the direction of the enquiry. Nevertheless Caesars wife must be above suspicion.

According to the BBC the cladding was not up to standard the manufacturer knew this but the UK body that certifies was not aware (why not). As previously mentioned I believe by the time the enquiry is finished there will be plenty of blame to go around with lots of bodies all bearing some responsibility.

Police have today made an additional 9 arrests relating to fraud. I've lost count of the number of people already convicted it makes you weep that people can be so callous. Meanwhile we are in the early days of the enquiry and already it is shaping up that no one person or group is to blame. As I mentioned in my previous post by the time it is finished there will be plenty of blame to go around. I just hope that the families get some kind of justice.

My apologies if this has already been picked up within the many responses given to this thread but one concern I have is how Fire Brigade Union confirmed their own health and safety fears re: high tower blocks within All Party Parliamentary Group report years ago (after Southwark flat fire that killed several:https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/feb/24/southwark-council-admits-safety-failings-tower-block-lakanal-house-blaze) and that this information was consequently glossed over by several Housing Ministers (including Gavin Barwell who is now Downing Street Chief of Staff to Theresa May)
