Just because you have socialist values, in a capitalist society, doesn't mean you should live in a commune, anymore than it means you should have a 'proper' working class job.

A person's race isn't their culture.

It depends what you call national culture, and what you don't. There is no singular national culture, it varies according to each person. Some peoples view of national culture can make them racist.
