It was actually on a page that I didn't even know existed until following the link. The BBC news home page had much more interesting stories on it today including the fact that Chris Hemsworth picked up a hitch hiker in Australia

Anyone see Dr Who yesterday? Even one of the BBC's flagship shows has now been turned into a feeble preachy propaganda exercise. Rewriting history Dr Who style.

I haven't watched it yet but I have noticed that the BBC has bowed to tokenism in the latest incarnation with a female Doctor and three assistants of which one is white, one is black and one is Asian. To make sure that it incorporates as many groups as possible one of them has a disability. Only thing missing is a lesbian but they did that one with the previous Doctor

Is there another country in the world that forks out millions in a compulsory tax revenue for a gang of elite, youngish Oxbridge-type left-wingers and Grauniad-reading pinkos to control an important media broadcaster? Bearing in mind what a useless nincompoop we have as Prime Minister at the moment, Le Maistre's view that "every nation gets the government it deserves" seems equally apt as to its national media source.
