I notice that the clubs announcement of a new sponsorship deal, they were pictured holing this season's shirt . . . [Link]
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

And there we were thinking that our new kit was going to show an unknown bank as sponsor, only to find it's going to be an unknown, and to me a rather dubious looking, Phillippine betting firm instead.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Every year I look forward to the new kit reveal and more often than not I'm disappointed...this year more so than normal. That is horrible beyond words! Why can't we just keep it simple?

Well, funnily enough, I think it's a fabulous, stand out design that speaks volumes about our bold approach to the game. I don't even mind how the sponsor logo looks. Very modern. Encouraging too, that Olise and Eze are the main models for the new look. Just perhaps there's a message in there somewhere. Edited by Palace Old Geezer (13 Jun 2024 12.32pm)

Seems to be on note with the streetwear style that the club has been moving towards, tying in with the cage football image. Maybe not for the more traditionalists, but more representative of the type of players we have ie bold, exciting, youthful.

What. Seriously? We could be going into an epic season if we keep hold of certain players and we're going to be wearing that? I hope the away kit is better... What with that and the sponsor, think I'll give it a miss this season.

Whatever, they are an Asian outfit involved with gambling on cock fights. Says a lot really. Would much prefer our club to be positively linked with an organisation more closely associated with our sport, but heyho. Still, like I wrote a couple of posts back, I love the new kit, even with the Net88 logo.
